The isopoly bi-fluid approach assumes an isothermal evolution of the solar wind near the Sun up to the radial distance riso, followed by a polytropic evolution constrained by the observed polytropic indices. This approach provides a more accurate model of the interplanetary properties of the solar wind (u, n, Tp, Te) and their radial evolution (Dakeyo et al. 2022, 2024). In this article, we present an improvement of the isopoly approach by considering a generalized two thermal regime approach, embedding two distinct polytropic evolutions, the "bipoly" modeling. To demonstrate the capability of the approach, the models are fitted to both interplanetary and coronal observations, all classified by wind speed population in the spirit of Maksimovic et al. (2020). The set of observations used as constraints are coronal temperatures inferred from charge-state ratio observations from Solar Orbiter, and interplanetary measurements from Helios and Parker Solar Probe. The relaxation of the isothermal criteria in the near-Sun region permits to significantly improve the fast wind acceleration for low coronal temperature conditions. In summary, the new model matches closely the observational con
Mathematicians have shown that no electoral system can perfectly balance local representation, proportional national results, and a fixed-size parliament once enough parties compete。 A newly proposed voting method could soften these unavoidable trade-offs and produce outcomes that are much closer to fair

Scientists traced a mysterious surge of low-energy gamma rays from zinc-70 to magnetic changes occurring inside its nucleus。 The breakthrough could improve models of how stars, supernovae, and neutron star mergers create heavy elements
China’s Tianwen-1 orbiter captured a faint but remarkable view of 3I/ATLAS as the interstellar comet raced past Mars。 The images reveal its tail and glowing coma, offering scientists a glimpse of material born beyond our solar system
The Backrooms began as a single eerie image of empty yellow rooms, but internet users transformed it into a vast fictional world that feels disturbingly real。 Through videos, games, maps, survival guides and social media stories, audiences do more than watch the horror unfold。 They help build and explore it
Cosmic expansion allows distant galaxies to move away faster than light, while still letting us see ancient light they emitted when they were much closer。 Eventually, accelerating expansion will push nearly every galaxy beyond our Local Group out of sight, making the Universe appear almost empty
Autonomous vehicle giant disturbs residents' sleep
Scientists have created twisted laser beams that interact differently with right-handed and left-handed molecules, revealing their identity through the fragments they produce。 The approach could provide a faster, simpler, and more sensitive way to analyze important molecules used in chemistry and pharmaceuticals
Wavelength and intensity in the infrared are translated into colors in the visible
Popular AI-powered food apps may make calorie counting easier, but they may also leave out a surprisingly large part of the meal。 Four apps underestimated calories and fat by about one-third when tested against carefully prepared meals。 High-fat ketogenic dishes appeared to cause the most trouble, while carbohydrates were measured more consistently
Scientists have created an “electron lighthouse” that uses laser light to launch and steer electrons through a semiconductor without an applied electrical field。 The quantum effect could eventually improve optical sensors, communications, imaging, and information storage
Young Jupiter’s powerful magnetic field may have created a safe zone where several large moons could survive。 Saturn lacked this protection, possibly explaining why Titan stands almost alone among its largest moons
