Sheep scab, caused by infestation with the ectoparasitic mite, Psoroptes ovis, represents a major welfare and economic challenge for the livestock industry. We present an updated 62.7 Mb genome assembly containing 10 chromosome-level scaffolds with 10,516 annotated protein-coding genes, which provides a useful resource for studies into resistance and control.
Ligilactobacillus agilis is a lactic acid bacterium isolated from traditional yogurt in Rajshahi. Here, we report the draft whole-genome sequence of Ligilactobacillus agilis SY88, with a genome size of 1,998,117 bp and GC content of 41.86%. This genome sequence expands the genomic resources for dairy-associated lactic acid bacterial species.
Mango productivity is threatened by dieback and fruit rot from Lasiodiplodia spp. (Botryosphaeriaceae fungal family). We report high-quality genomes of Lasiodiplodia theobromae, Lasiodiplodia euphorbiaceicola, and Lasiodiplodia brasiliensis from Côte d'Ivoire, enhancing genomic resources for comparative and pathogenicity studies of these fungal plant pathogens.
We report 804 metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs) reconstructed from a water conditioning tank during the establishment of an artificial seawater aquarium at SEA LIFE Nagoya. These MAGs were assigned to 27 phyla (26 bacterial phyla and 1 archaeal phylum), providing a genome-resolved resource for investigating the microbial diversity of artificially managed marine environments.
Cytobacillus sp. strain C11.1 was isolated from a microbial soil crust in the Salar de Aguilar, Atacama Desert, Chile. Its complete 4.99-Mb circular genome supports its classification as a Cytobacillus species and provides a genomic resource for studying adaptation to hypersaline, high-altitude environments.
Artisanal cheeses are a source of bacteria with biotechnological potential. The genome size of Enterococcus lactis SP-50a was 2.71 Mb with 2,637 genes. Analysis identified genes for bacteriocin and peptidoglycan hydrolase synthesis, associated with antimicrobial activity. Additionally, the fabG gene was detected, indicating a possible polyhydroxyalkanoate production.
We report the draft genome sequence of Mammaliicoccus sciuri strain 30RR, isolated from the milk of a buffalo with clinical mastitis. The ~2.5 Mbp genome of strain 30RR was assembled into 40 contigs and comprises approximately 2,600 predicted genes, including two antimicrobial resistance genes and four biosynthetic gene clusters.
Endophyte Pseudomonas sp. Can09R was isolated from surface-sterilized roots of Chenopodium album L. DNA sequencing was performed using the Illumina platform, and the genome was assembled with SPAdes software. The final scaffolded assembly spans 6,036,228 bp, has a guanine-cytosine content of 60%, and contains 5,281 predicted protein-coding genes.
Human coronavirus HKU1 is globally endemic but genomically understudied. We present six near-complete HKU1 genomes from samples collected in coastal Kenya (2024-2025) that fell into genotypes A (n = 3) and B (n = 3). The data expand the global HKU1 genomic database and will support molecular assay development and phylogeography studies.
There is little known about papillomavirus diversity in waterfowl. From cloacal swabs of one mallard and three northern pintails sampled in New Mexico (USA), we identified four papillomavirus genomes. These papillomaviruses share >92.7% genome-wide nucleotide pairwise identity with Anas platyrhynchos papillomavirus 3 (AplaPV3) identified from a mallard in Missouri (USA).
We present the complete mitochondrial genome of Anelytra (Anelytra) hainanensis Shi, 2015 from Hainan, China. The mitogenome is circular, AT-rich (68.2%), and 15,553 bp in length, comprising 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, and 1 AT region.
Here, we report the coding-complete genome sequence of Arabidopsis latent virus 1 (ArLV1; Comovirus arabidopsis) from Iraq. The virus was identified by metatranscriptomic sequencing of asymptomatic cucumber (Cucumis sativus) leaves harboring thrips collected from commercial greenhouses. The bipartite genome comprises RNA1 (5,553 nt) and RNA2 (3,582 nt).

We report complete genome sequences of two Streptococcus agalactiae isolates recovered from the urine of postmenopausal women with a history of recurrent urinary tract infection. These high-quality genomes will support ongoing efforts to understand S. agalactiae strain-level genetic variation and its potential role in urinary tract disease in this population.
An anaerobic, thermophilic hydrogenogenic carbon monoxide (CO)-oxidizing Bacillota bacterium, 3446A, was isolated from freshwater pond sediments in Kyoto, Japan. The 3.11-Mbp draft genome sequence (guanine-cytosine content, 50.4%) encodes CODH-ECH genes, consistent with hydrogenogenic CO oxidation. Phylogenomic analysis suggests that Bacillota bacterium 3446A represents a novel genus-level lineage within the family Thermicanaceae.
We present a culture collection of 44 aquatic bacterial cultures isolated from samples collected from Lake Erie's Sandusky and Maumee Bays and Lake Victoria's Winam Gulf. Here, we detail isolation, cryopreservation, and genomic DNA preparation methods and sequences of full-length 16S rRNA genes.
We report a draft genome assembly of Polystigma amygdalinum, the causal agent of almond red leaf blotch. DNA extracted from infected leaves was sequenced using PacBio HiFi, and host-derived reads were removed bioinformatically. The 238.7-Mb assembly (90.8% BUSCO completeness) is highly repetitive (82.3%) and unusually large for an ascomycete.

This study presents medium- and high-quality prokaryotic metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs) from microbial mats and sediments at Hatiba Mons, a Red Sea hydrothermal system. We recovered 1,217 bacterial and archaeal MAGs across 75 phyla, dominated by Planctomycetota and Thermoproteota. Approximately 70% of these genomes likely represent previously uncharacterized taxa.
We present draft genome sequences for 12 fungal isolates, including two isolates each of Trichoderma, Exophiala, and Cladosporium, and one isolate each of Fusarium, Cladorrhinum, Epicoccum, Chaetomiaceae, Didymellaceae, and Pleosporales, from cyanobacteria-dominated biological soil crusts in the Sonoran Desert (Arizona, USA), sequenced on a NovaSeq 6000 at ≥40× coverage.
