Objective:To discuss the treatment outcome and advantages of domestic ear molding system in the treatment of bilateral neonatal congenital aural malformation. Methods:Newborns diagnosed with bilateral congenital aural malformation were treated using the domestic ear molding system. For each subject, one ear wore a set of domestic ear molding system, while the contralateral ear used only matching Retractor and Antihelix Former. Treatment outcomes were graded in terms of auricular morphology. Medical charts were reviewed to collect data on the types of congenital aural malformation, the incidence of complications, the initiation and duration of treatment, as well as the satisfaction after treatment. Treatment outcomes were graded into three levels: excellent, good, and poor, according to the improvement of auricular morphology evaluated by both physicians and parents, respectively. Results:A total of 25 cases(50 ears) were treated with the domestic ear molding system, which contains 11 cases with Stahl's ears(14 ears), 10 case with helical deformities(11 ears), 4 cases with cup ears(8 ears), and 15 cases with lop-ear(17 ears). All infants accomplished the correction completely. Both parents and doctors were satisfied with the outcomes. No obvious complication was observed. Conclusion:Ear molding is an effective nonsurgical treatment for congenital aural malformation. Molding with Retractor and Antihelix Former is simple and effective. Domestic ear molding system can be flexibly used in correcting bilateral congenital aural malformation. With this approach, infants with bilateral congenital aural malformation may benefit more in the near future. 目的:通过灵活应用国产无创矫治器及其配件矫治双侧耳廓形态畸形,探讨新矫治策略的疗效及优势。 方法:使用国产无创矫治器对双侧先天性耳廓形态畸形进行矫治,过程中1耳佩戴无创矫治器,另1耳仅使用牵引钩及耳后立柱进行矫治,定期复诊,至矫正形态正常或连续2周复诊耳廓形态无明显改变,定义为矫治结束。由医生和家长同时对患耳矫治后的状态进行评估,根据耳廓形态改善程度,分为优、良、差3个等级,评估矫正后的疗效。同时统计矫治期间皮肤并发症的发生率。 结果:25例(50耳)先天性耳廓形态畸形中,Stahl's耳11例(14耳),耳轮畸形10例(11耳),杯状耳4例(8耳),垂耳15例(17耳),所有患儿均顺利完成矫治,耳廓矫治形态均为优,均无耳周压疮、皮损、软骨裸露或感染等并发症出现。 结论:国产矫治器配件丰富,灵活选用牵引钩及耳后立柱对耳廓形态进行矫治,可达到使用单侧矫治器进行双耳矫治的目的,如能推广应用,可较大程度降低医疗成本。.
